could it be a brain tumor?

I am really freaking out here and need some insight. I just finished an anatomy class and we had a section on this, so maybe that’s just kind of made me a hypochondriac.
I’ve always suffered from headaches (I’m 16). It runs in our family. Lately they have been getting progressively more severe and more frequent. It starts as a pressure behind my eyes and radiates around to the back of my head. I’ve also noticed that my right eyelid has began drooping. Not all the time, but fairly often. I went to my regular practitioner and he sent me to an ophthalmologist. They did tests and said there is nothing wrong with the nerves or muscles in my eye and mentioned a few possible causes like cluster headaches or ophthalmic migraines.
The past week or so I’ve been really mood and short tempered. That’s just not usually like me. Yeah I get mad of course but I;ve been snapping at people really often over small things. It’s really just not like me. And I’ve just felt depressed and gloomy. It’s really affecting everyone around me, particularly my girlfriend. It’s killing me.
The ophthalmologist scheduled me for an MRI in the next few days. The doctor never mentioned a tumor, but is it a possibility? I just want to know whats wrong with me!

ophthalmic migraines???

What are they ? What is the symptoms? Is there a treatment?

The MRI was totally the Doctor’s doing. I didn’t ask him or tell him anything about my fear. Since they waited till after Christmas to schedule it I’m assuming that they don’t think it’s anything too serious or urgent.
I’ve also started having some muscle twitches mainly in my right arm. I don’t know if that’s anything major or related.
and I do have an appointment already scheduled with a neorologist that specializes in headaches. The reason I went to the doctor is when my eye started drooping. That’s the main thing we’re trying to figure out now. I’ve just been speculating on my own…..

Head pressure? or something?

Original Post :

"Ever since I was in sixth grade (i am now 20), I got "ophthalmologic migraine’s". I’d see weird lights, like tv snow, and then lose my vision for about an hour at most, then got a HORRIBLE migraine. But recently I had one, and it hasnt went away. I feel like im stuck in the first 5 minutes of that kind of headache, where I can see, but not see everything. Like a blind spot. What should I do? my eyes feel strained, and I dont have a headache. Please help. It feels like something is missing out of the picture.

Also, I have a pituitary tumor, but its a microadenoma. The surgeon said it was not causing these headaches. That was a year ago.

Please help "

So i went to the Ophthalmologist and they ran every test possible for my eyes. The doctor told me my eyes are perfect. I just have an astigmatism. He took pictures of my retina and said that if there was pressure on my optic nerve from the tumor, hed see something.

He said it could be pressure in my brain, or lack of blood flow. Like "falling asleep on an arm."

What could this possibly mean? I went for an MRI/MRA today but it got canceled until next week.

What could any of this mean?

Additional information:

I have an under active thyroid (not from the tumor, the tumor doesn’t affect any hormones)
Aortic Stenosis, Aortic regurgitation, and high blood pressure, Asthma, Ophthalmic migraines and Mental issues as well.

anyone know what to do?

Questions about migraines (did I have one? Is it normal?)?

In the last couple of months I’ve had 2-3 episodes where one of my eyes got zig-zaggy lines with blind spot for about 20 minutes, then went away. I wrote it off as an "ophthalmic migraine," from what I read on google. Then today I was getting my nails done when I had that same symptom in both eyes. It started to go away, and then I got the most fearsome headache ever on the top right of my forehead, along with nausea but no vomiting. I went home after pulling over til I could drive again, took a 45 minute shut-eye, and felt much better. I still feel kind of like a mild normal headache right now, hours later, especially if I move my head quickly, but it feels like it’s getting better.

I’m 26 years old, and have never even had a real headache before, let alone something like this. Is it normal to get a first migraine at my age? Is that what this was? I’m getting myself pretty worked up about having brain cancer or something awful.

Can Ophthalmic Migraines be linked to more serious conditions?

Can Ophthalmic migraines be caused by anything? I have had 4 in the last year and 2 this week.
Could my Ophthalmic migraines be linked with the fact I was rushed to hospital with suspected appendicitis and never diagnosed (definitely not ovarian cysts as they were ruled out with internal & external ultra sound scans).
Could the two things be a sign of another condition they didnt think of in the hospital?
Could the above symptoms be linked to the fact I have started taking the contraceptive pill Yasmin in the last month?
Why cant the GP diagnose me? Can something really just be a blip? I’m very tired also. Could this be linked with anaemia? Although in the hospital they didnt think I was anaemic, just said that my white blood cells were low….. Any ideas? This is getting really worrying now…
I’m 21. I’m also a smoker but I have recently cut down a lot with the aim to quit asap…. That article certainly makes sense and will help me to quit more.

Would you mind expanding on the Multiple sclerosis? Did you have any other symptoms? How old were/are you?

Ophthalmic Migraine problem?

Ever since I was in 7th grade I have had on and off zig zaggy lines in the peripheral of my vision for 15-20 minutes. I am 14 now and I am sick and tired of going through this 2 times every single month. Its like my brain has a calender and it sets a day out of each month to put me through 15 minutes of hell. It happens at the worsts times, like at school, hanging out with friends, or whenever I am in a position to not be ready for something like this. I don’t know what to do! Is there a treatment, or some technique to make these episodes not happen as frequently? Please help me!

Does this sound like a Ophthalmic Migraine?

I was sitting at the computer when I noticed that the vision in my right eye started getting blurry. It was blurry in the center. It freaked me out so I went and lied down on the bed. Then the vision in that eye got very flashy/shimmery. Like heat coming of the road. Also a yellow and blue zig zag pattern appeared. I’d say it lasted about ten minutes.
